Ernest Dawson Ostermeyer was one of the first persons to join the Wireless Society of London after the first World War. He represented, with others, British radio amateurs at the first congress of the International Amateur Radio Union in Paris in 1925 and became RSGB president in 1938.(World at their Fingertips pp 104-105, 270)
