Handwritten message on this card reads;

"I think I was using 5 watts input then.  Have been on air abt 3 months ?? es getting along  fair.  Hw DX?"

 
This card was addressed to "EG-6LI", suggesting that Mr. Livesey had obtained his licence by 1928.  (The "E" most probably refers to "England" .

The sender also asks (down the left hand side of the card) "How come EG is in France?"
The card was originally addressed to France but obviously re-directed to Horncastle.
